This year I am helping to raise money for the Rockinghorse Appeal, a Brighton based charity which provides equipment and funds for local childrens health facilities in the Sussex Area.
One of these is the Royal Alexandra Childrens hospital. This is where my sister, was taken when she was diagnosed diabetic in 2005. Since then they have been able to move to a new purpose-built facility, thanks in part to the Rockinghorse Appeal’s work.
Others who benefit from the charity’s work include Chalkhill Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Haywards Heath, The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and The Seaside View Child Development Centre, also in Brighton.
A Message from the Rocking Horse Appeal
Rockinghorse specialises in providing support for children's medical services throughout the South East. We purchase state of the art equipment, provide funding for ground breaking research and help ensure that ill and injured children from Sussex and the surrounding counties are treated in child friendly environments.
2008 marked Rockinghorse's 40th year of supporting children in the Sussex community and with your generosity and support we will continue for another 40.
For further information about the work we do and how you can get involved please visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk or call us on 0845 22 22 298.
